Samuel James "Sugar Jim" Henry (23 de outubro de 1920 - 21 de janeiro de 2004) foi um jogador profissional canadense de hóquei no gelo . Um goleiro , Henry jogou na National Hockey League (NHL), com os New York Rangers , Chicago Black Hawks eo Boston Bruins entre 1941 e 1955.
Carreira de jogador
Nascido em Winnipeg , Manitoba , Henry começou sua carreira na NHL em 1941 com o New York Rangers . Mais tarde, ele jogou pelo Chicago Black Hawks ( 1948–49 ) e pelo Boston Bruins ( 1951–52 até 1954–55 ). Henry apareceu em 1952 no jogo NHL All-Star .
Durante a pós-temporada de 1952, Henry registrou uma eliminação nos playoffs na rodada semifinal contra o Montreal. No final do jogo # 7 da mesma série, Henry, com um olho roxo, foi fotografado apertando a mão de Maurice Richard, que estava enfaixado e ensanguentado. É uma das fotografias icônicas da NHL.
Em 2004, Henry foi introduzido no Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum.
