Al-Nuʿmān ibn al-Mundhir ( árabe : النعمان بن المنذر ), conhecido em fontes gregas como Naamanes ( Νααμάνης ) foi um rei dos Gassânidas , uma tribo árabe cristã aliada ao Império Bizantino . O filho mais velho de al-Mundhir III ibn al-Harith , ele se revoltou com sua tribo depois que seu pai foi traiçoeiramente preso pelos bizantinos em 581. Após dois anos de revolta, tentando se reconciliar com o Império, ele visitou o novo imperador, Maurício (r. 582-602), em Constantinopla . Recusando-se a renunciar à sua fé monofisista , ele foi preso e exilado na Sicília , onde seu pai havia sido banido anteriormente. Este evento marcou o fim do controle Ghassanid sobre os foederati árabes dos bizantinos e a fragmentação deste forte buffer contra invasões do deserto.
