Paul W. Schroeder (23 de fevereiro de 1927 - 6 de dezembro de 2020) foi um historiador americano que foi professor emérito da Universidade de Illinois . Ele se especializou em política internacional europeia do final do século 16 ao século 20, Europa Central e teoria da história . Biografia

Schroeder nasceu em Cleveland, Ohio , filho de Rupert H. Schroeder e Elfrieda Koch. Ele frequentou o Concordia Seminary (graduou-se em 1951), a Texas Christian University e a University of Texas at Austin , onde recebeu seu doutorado em 1958. Ele recebeu o Beveridge Award em 1956 pelo melhor manuscrito sobre a história americana apresentado por um historiador iniciante. Ele foi professor associado de história no Concordia Senior College de 1958 a 1963 e mais tarde foi contratado na Universidade de Illinois.
