Daniel K. Richter é um historiador americano especializado no início da história americana, especialmente na América do Norte colonial e na história dos nativos americanos antes de 1800. Ele atua como Roy F. e Jeannette P. Nichols Professor de História Americana na Universidade da Pensilvânia e é o Richard S Dunn Diretor do McNeil Center for Early American Studies . Seu livro, Facing East from Indian Country, foi finalista do Prêmio Pulitzer em 2002.
vida e carreira
Richter nasceu em Erie, Pensilvânia . Ele obteve seu Ph.D. da Columbia University em 1984. Antes de lecionar na University of Pennsylvania, Richter havia lecionado anteriormente no Dickinson College e na University of East Anglia .
